This is a team byline, not a fictional individual expert. Vendor facts, comparison criteria and source records are maintained through QMFX’s editorial research process.
What the desk is responsible for
- Checking public prices, plan boundaries and material feature limits.
- Separating vendor facts from editorial judgment.
- Stating the evidence boundary when first-hand testing has not been done.
- Updating the source register and affected pages when facts change.
How automation and AI may be used
Tools may help organize research, flag omissions, produce drafts or assist translation. They do not replace source checking or editorial responsibility. We do not publish unreviewed page batches for search traffic, and desk research is not presented as hands-on testing.
If you spot an error
Check the source register first. If a vendor changed pricing or a page is wrong, use the site form to send the page URL, issue and supporting official source. Material corrections are recorded in the research log rather than silently changing dates to manufacture freshness.
